Challenge
Design a non-toxic and environmentally friendly fragrance bottle and package that carves a niche in the beauty market.
Approach
After a lot of store inspiration trips to Sephora and Bloomingdales, I analyzed the existing market and saw that most fragrances were not travel safe, included alcohol and didn't offer refillable bottles, or a way to enjoy several different scents without buying several different bottles.
Solution
Bloom is a soft, smooth silver pod that slips open to reveal a non-toxic wax fragrance inside. Small enough to sit in the palm of the hand, Bloom can go where ever she does without a second thought. The scent chamber can be switched out when she finishes a fragrance or when the season changes, making the jewel like bottle more of an accessory than a commodity.
The packaging is understated and simple, its grey top lifting off to showcase the pod nestled into a felted grassy base that she can keep on her dresser to display the bottle.
